PAEA Seeks Volunteers to Serve on Item Remapping Work Group
PAEA is looking for up to 10 volunteers to serve on an Item Remapping Work Group that will begin in mid-May and is expected to end in June. This is a time-limited commitment.
Nature of the Work
PAEA is seeking up to 10 PA educators to participate in a time-limited volunteer work group to review existing exam items from PAEA’s item bank and remap/reclassify them to meet the specifications of PAEA’s future exam blueprints. Each member of the work group will be tasked with reviewing a subset of exam items to ensure that they align with the appropriate content and task area, or that they are marked for future rewrite.
Meeting Commitments
Work group members will be expected to participate in a virtual introductory call and training at the start of service. All other work will be divided up among work group members and will occur asynchronously.
Terms of Service
This work will begin in mid-May 2024 and is expected to conclude in June 2024, with the potential to extend based on workload.
Experience and Qualifications
- All candidates must be a current faculty or staff member at a PAEA member program or institutional colleague member at the time of appointment
- Must be able to allocate time to review items during this window
- Can not hold other item writing or review responsibilities outside the requirements of their faculty role (e.g., NCCPA, NBME, and other test and test-preparation services and publications).
- Must be willing to sign PAEA’s EDB-specific volunteer agreement if appointed.
- Distribution of AAPA category 1 CME credit is pending approval. Details regarding this forthcoming.
