Open Positions
PAEA hosts bi-annual, virtual, role-based retreats. These retreats provide an opportunity for members to connect with peers. The retreats offer tailored discussions, networking and ideating opportunities, and an underlying sense of relief to connect with people who truly understand your role.
Retreat topics of discussion are driven by facilitators and attendees. Recent topics included:
- Remediation
- Wellness and Burnout
- Professionalism
- Topics related to Advocacy and Program Staff
- Artificial Intelligence.
About the Facilitator Role:
A virtual retreat facilitator is a short-term volunteer opportunity. The criteria and time commitment for service will include the following:
- Hold a corresponding role to the retreat facilitated
- Two facilitators are needed for each retreat (list of retreats can be found by clicking the link below)
- Selections will be made on scheduling and availability of coordinated facilitators
- Priority will be given to members who have not served in a volunteer capacity with PAEA in the past
- Time Commitment:
- Watch a recorded retreat facilitator training video (less than 15 minutes)
- 2 phone/virtual meetings with co-facilitators (about 30 minutes each) to plan for and identify topics for each retreat
- 2 hours on the day of each retreat (4 hours in total for 2025)
*Please note, selections for retreat facilitators will be made based on the following criteria and information:
- Holding a role that is related to one of the nine (9) role-based retreats
- Scheduling availability and the coordination with a co-facilitator
- Commitment to facilitating two (2) retreats in 2025 – one (1) in the Spring and one (1) in the Fall
