2024 Leadership Book Club Series
The PAEA Leadership Mission Advancement Commission (LMAC) is excited to launch the 2024 Leadership Book Club Series!
The Leadership Book Club is designed to ignite rich discussion, provoke curiosity, and facilitate professional development in leadership. Having selected books that emphasize leadership styles, traits and habits, and best practices in higher education, the book club will focus on six titles in 2024 and will meet virtually every other month to participate in a facilitated discussion for each book.
We hope all PAEA members who are interested in leadership will join us in 2024 to learn from and with each other as we dive deeper into these topics. We expect to leave each discussion with a new idea, a new connection, and a stronger sense of leadership within ourselves as well as with thoughts on how to apply concepts to our personal and professional lives and to those of our students.
We will kick off with Servant Leadership in Action: How You Can Achieve Great Relationships and Results by Ken Blanchard, so grab a copy today and be ready to join the discussion on February 8.
As a bonus, the LMAC will give a free copy of each book in 2024 to the first five people who register for each meeting as they are published every other month in the Networker!
The group will meet every other month starting in February to discuss the full text of each book. This year’s book club series is scheduled for the following dates:
- February 8, 12-1:30 p.m. ET: Servant Leadership in Action: How You Can Achieve Great Relationships and Results – Ken Blanchard
- April 4, 12-1:30 p.m. ET: Everyone Communicates, Few Connect: What the Most Effective People Do Differently – John Maxwell
- June 6, 12-1:30 p.m. ET: Five Dysfunctions of a Team: A Leadership Fable – Patrick Lencioni
